Visit our farm and take advantage of a small tour in our countryside. We suggest a promenade throughout the vines to reach the old village of Colognola ai Colli, on the edge of the hill, where there is the parochial church and where you can enjoy a wonderful landscape.
In our neighbourhoods you can visit: Soave, a village which is enclosed in its old walls with its castle(open to the public); Villanova abbey, a Romanesque abbey; the Roman Thermae of Caldiero and in the level area of Colognola you can visit the church of S. Maria della Pieve, a Venetian Romanesque structure of XI century with many frescos.
At Illasi, a village close to us, we suggest you to see two very important villas, both of XVIII century: in the centre of the village, exactly near the parochial church, there is Villa Carlotti; not so far from it there is Villa Perez Pompei surrounded by a marvellous park which extends as far as the Illasi castle, which is enclosed in the same property.
Between Illasi and Cazzano di Tramigna you can find the Romanesque church of S. Felice which is important for its frescos. This church, is located in a particular area, which starts at the beginning of the way to Cazzano, called “Valle dei Ciliegi” (the cherries valley). This valley offers a marvellous scenery in Spring when all the trees are in bloom.
Finally, Val d’Illasi (Illasi valley) gives on the Lessinia ( a mountain region of Venetian Pre-Alps) and it offers a very interesting mountain passage and some important geological areas: Bolca with its famous fossils and its museum, and Camposilvano where there is a museum of fossils, the renowned “covolo” and the karstic sculptures of the “Valle delle Sfingi” (Sphinx valley).
